Chairman

Dato' Sri Zohari bin Haji Akob holds a Master of Economics and Postgraduate Diploma in Economics from the University of Leicester. His last post in the government was the Secretary General Ministry of Works (MOW) and he has had more than 30 years of experience in various government sectors. He also served as Chairman of the Malaysian Highway Authority from 2019 to 2020.

During his services in MOW, he was principally responsible in the development of the country's infrastructure, including nationwide road networks and buildings.

Starting as Assistant Director in EPU, he spent 2/3 of his entire service years in the Economic Planning Unit (EPU) of the Prime Minister’s Department (currently called Ministry of Economy), responsible for charting the country's economic development and in planning federal resources. In 2009, he helped set up the Public Private Partnership (PPP) Unit which was instrumental in privatisation and Private Finance Initiative (PFI) projects in Malaysia.

He continuously contributed to the nation through various appointments, advising both the Government and Corporate leaders. His directorship in public and private companies includes NAZA Corporation Holdings Sdn Bhd, NAZA Engineering and Construction Sdn Bhd, Central Cable Berhad, Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB), CIDB Holdings Sdn Bhd and Aktif Unggul Sdn Bhd.
